Punters Plunge On Chelsea To Win The Premier League Title

Leading bookmaker Coral this morning reported a major ante post gamble on Chelsea to win next season’s Premier League forcing them to slash their odds to 3/1 from 9/2.

“The departure of Alex Ferguson from Manchester United, the news that Rooney also wants to leave, and the fact that Jose Mourinho now looks nailed on to return to Chelsea, have combined to be a catalyst for a serious plunge on the Blues to win next season’s Premier League”, said Simon Clare, Coral Spokesman.

Manchester United have been pushed out to 2/1 from 13/8, while Manchester City have also been eased to 2/1 from 15/8 by Coral.

“Ferguson will be a very hard act to follow and even the most ardent Manchester United fans must be more fearful than optimistic about next season’s prospects, particularly with Wayne Rooney now handing in a transfer request”, added Clare.
