Fox-Pitt and Nicholson Installed 5/1 Joint Favourites For Badminton

SPORTSBOOK ODDS

Two of the most successful event riders of all time, William Fox-Pitt and Andrew Nicholson, have been installed as the 5/1 joint favourites by leading bookmaker Coral to win the Badminton Horse Trials that start tomorrow.

Michael Jung, the reigning World, Olympic and European champion, priced at 13/2 with Coral is rated the biggest rival to the favourites, with Mary King a 10/1 chance.

“The Badminton Horse Trials is an iconic British event and has a sizeable following, so it was a no-brainer to open a betting market on it. William Fox-Pitt is a household name and will attract loads of support, whilst the likes of Mark Todd and Zara Phillips will also be popular choices”, said Simon Clare, Coral Spokesman.

“We don’t have anyone at Coral with the specialist knowledge to price up Badminton so we sought expert assistance and it will be fascinating to see where the smart money goes over the next couple of days”, added Clare.
