Dee Stakes winner now 20-1 for Derby success

| 10.05.2013

Coral has slashed Magician to 20-1 (from 40-1) for the Investec Derby, after the colt completed a Chester Derby trial double for trainer Aidan O’Brien today, following Ruler Of The World’s victory in the Chester Vase on Thursday.

“Magician showed a smart turn of foot to put the Dee Stakes to bed, but he’s by no means bred to stay the extra two furlongs that Epsom will demand, and at this stage we reckon Ruler Of The World has the stronger Derby claims of the pair,” said Coral’s David Stevens.

Meanwhile, the Ormonde Stakes winner, Mount Athos, is 8-1 (from 10-1) at Coral for the Ascot Gold Cup.
