Stoute Pair Head Betting For Epsom Classics

| 16.04.2013
SPORTSBOOK ODDS

The Sir Micheal Stoute-trained pair of Liber Nauticus, 6-1 from 8-1, and Telescope, 5-1 from 6-1, head Coral’s betting for the Investec Oaks and Investec Derby betting respectively after support for the duo today.

Sunday’s Ballysax winner, Battle Of Marengo, has also been in demand for the Investec Derby, and is now 10-1 (from 12-1), while his stablemate Kingsbarns remains friendless in the market, and is eased to 8-1 (from 6-1) for the colts’ Classic.

“Sir Michael Stoute’s team had a low-key 2012, but in Telescope and Liber Nauticus the former champion trainer has two smart Classic hopes, and punters certainly think the pair can feature at Epsom in June,” said Coral’s David Stevens.

“As far as Battle Of Marengo is concerned, we weren’t overly impressed with his Ballysax success, and left him unchanged at 12-1 for the Derby, but we have seen plenty of interest at that price, forcing us to go 10-1,” added Stevens.
