Ever since Barcelona’s 4-0 Champions League annihilation last Tuesday at the Allianz Arena, talk in Catalan newspapers has focused on “the comeback” and Tito Vilanova’s men proved against AC Milan in the round of 16 that they were capable of reinventing themselves at Camp Nou after a first leg beating. However the Rossoneri are no Bayern Munich and the Germans can stamp their authority on a demoralised Barca with a win to nil in Catalunya – with Coral offering 10/1.

Having beaten Barcelona at home with the kind of authority that saw Mario Gomez grinning almost sheepishly at the final whistle, there is a sense as the second leg approaches that, surely Barca must respond. However their weekend La Liga meeting with Athletic saw Los Blaugrana concede twice as they were held to a draw in the Basque country, with the visitors lucky not to concede at least another two.

The recent dip in Barca’s form – just three wins in their last eight – is somewhat misleading as it has taken place almost entirely away from home. They’ve won five of their last six at Camp Nou, though it should be noted that the draw that blots that sequence came against Paris Saint Germain in the last round of the Champions League.

Bayern on the other hand have a habit of winning to nil away from home that will have been giving Tito Vilanova sleepless nights, with Die Roten shutting out their hosts in 15 of their 21 away games this term and conceding more than one goal on the road just once all season.

Concerns over Jupp Heynckes men lacking motivation after a big first leg win should be wide of the mark. With Arsenal getting uncomfortably close to overturning a first leg deficit against the Germans in the round of 16, Munich made no mistake against Juventus in the quarters, shutting out the Bianconeri at Delle Alpi.

Despite Bayern having not one, but two celebrated centre forwards in Mario Gomez and Mario Mandzukic, it was attacking midfielder Thomas Muller who shone brightest in the first leg, scoring twice. Muller is Munchen’s top scorer in all competitions and he’s either scored or created six of his club’s 11 Champions League knock out stage goals – Coral go 11/4 about him notching in Spain.

A double on Thomas Muller to score at any time and his side to win to nil pays a handsome £412.50 to a £1 level stake with Coral.
