9-2 for three British players in Australian Open finals

Leading bookmaker Coral is offering odds of 9-2 that Andy Murray, Johanna Konta and Jamie Murray all reach the finals of their respective events in the Australian Open ahead of their semi-final encounters over the next couple of days. The British trio are also available at 125-1 with the firm to all win their tournaments, something which is unprecedented in British tennis.

Konta, who is through to her first Grand Slam semi-final, is 14-1 with Coral to lift the women’s Australian Open, Murray can be backed at 4-1 for his first title in Melbourne, while in the men’s doubles competition, Murray and Bruno Soares are odds-on at 8-11 to win their event.

“With British interest in three semi-finals this week at the Australian Open, we are noticing patriotic support for all three players to reach the final of their respective events, while at the 125-1 we are quoting on the Murray brothers and Konta to go all the way, it could prove the most expensive Grand Slam in history for Britain’s bookmakers,” said Coral’s John Hill.
