Three best Pliskova v Kerber odds on offer
Karolina Pliskova of the Czech Republic is a surprise maiden Grand Slam finalist at the US Open, and she will contest Australian Open champion Angelique Kerber for the women’s singles crown at Flushing Meadows.
There’s no time to dwell on WTA world number on Serena Williams’ shock exit from her home major as there are still brilliant tennis betting opportunities stateside. Kerber is odds-on 4/7 favourite with Coral to win her second Slam of the season, while 10th seed Pliskova is an 11/8 outsider.
Our tennis experts have put their heads together and come up with three 2016 US Open women’s singles final tips for you to take…
Kerber to win in three sets
Leading the head-to-head history 4-3 and 3-2 on the hard surfaces that this event is played on, Kerber’s last two victories over Pliskova have come in three sets.
If the Czech could beat the Williams sisters, then she can at least force top German tennis player Kerber to go the distance.

Having won the other hard court Slam on offer in 2016, Kerber is an awesome 11/4 to defeat Pliskova 2-1, and this also reflects the fact she will be out for revenge as Pliskova bested her in the Cincinnati Masters final last month.
A first set tiebreak
Half of the previous six opening sets have gone all the way in this fixture, and that 50-50 chance means the tiebreak betting among Pliskova v Kerber odds are exploitable.
Punters can get a fantastic 5/1 on the first set ending up 7-6 to either of the women’s singles finalists.
Kerber to lead 3-1 after four games
As Pliskova has never been near a stage such as this at Flushing Meadows before, there are likely to be some nerves from her.
That means a shaky start cannot be ruled out, and Kerber should exploit that, leaving a nifty 9/4 price for her to take a 3-1 lead after the first set.
