Knockin' on Evans' door
Is Dan Evans knocking on the door of the big time? The Brit scored his first ever Aussie Open win to earn a shot at Cilic, and has proved he can cause a shock when beating Nishikori at the 2013 US Open. Bet now.

Unlucky number 17?
Rising star Noah Rubin upset the no.17 seed Benoit Paire in last year's Australian Open, and who's the no.17 seed this year? You guessed it. With Federer back on form surely lightning won't strike twice? Get on.

No coach, no chance
Six-time champion Djokovic is still coachless after his split from Boris Becker, so this could be Andy Murray's golden chance to win in Australia. Can the Brit wash away the heartbreak of five finals? Get behind him.

Betting Highlights
Novak Djokovic may as well be known as the king of Melbourne Park. The Serbian's record in the competition is ridiculous. He's won 5 of the last 6 editions, beating Andy Murray in 4 of those finals. Will he come out on top yet again? Back Djokovic now.

Dan Evans was in fine form when defeating Facundo Bagnis 7-6, 6-3, 6-1 in the first round, but this match against world no.7 Marin Cilic will prove a much stiffer test. The British no.3 has never met the Croat before, could he cause a big upset? Bet now.

2014 champ Stan Wawrinka suffered a scare on Margaret Court in R1 before eventually edging past Martin Klizan in 5 sets. The 4th seed should have the beating of Johnson who's never made it past R3. Get the value with Coral's match special now.

Sir Andy joked that his wife would have to stop swearing now that she's Lady Kim, but she may have struggled to keep her language clean when watching Murray's R1 victory. The Brit beat Marchenko in straight sets, but was far from his best. Bet now.

Australian Open betting

The annual Australian Open may be the first Grand Slam of the calendar year, but the men’s edition is actually the newest after Wimbledon, the US Open and French Open; though, actually officially became a major a year before the latter tournament achieved that status in 1924. Known as the Australasian Championships in the early days – where it was held in neighbouring New Zealand on occasion too - before becoming the Australian Championships in 1927 and then its present day name from 1969, English-born Aussie competitor Rodney Heath holds claim to being the first ever male champion in the event's history back in 1905. Brisbane’s Margaret Molesworth lifted the first women’s singles trophy in 1922. James Anderson, not to be confused with current England cricketer, meanwhile, won the maiden men’s title as a major, and he went on to add to his earlier success in 1922 a year later. While Anderson set an early benchmark, his trophy total of three has since been overtaken by six stars, including two Australian compatriots Ken Rosewall and Roy Emerson, who has the record of six to date. Not far behind Emerson’s total are retired American Andre Agassi (with four), Roger Federer (also four) and Novak Djokovic (five – the most in the Open Era). The latter Serb also happens to be the defending champion, with all-time great Federer still his main challenger, which means the 2016 edition of the event, from January 18th-31st, is all set up to be a classic. Can Djokovic win yet another? Or can Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal prove that they are not yet finished claiming Grand Slams? In the women’s singles section, American great Serena Williams is hoping to defend her own crown, and will be aiming to go one ahead of joint-second Nancye Wynne Bolton, though would still be four off Margaret Court.
